Emogene's photographic images do not lack direction or purpose. She deliberately combines existing elements and uses them in an unexpected way. Her intention is to create something entirely new from her surroundings.

She grew up around race cars and motorcycles so it is no coincidence that her favourite hangout is an automotive salvage yard. The yard has a disturbing eerie silence that inspires her to create images where she coaxes beauty out of ugliness. Frozen in time, her compelling images will have you coming back to look at that "something" over and over again.

Emogene's photographs have won numerous competitions within Images Alberta Camera Club and The Canadian Association for Photographic Art. She is also a member of the Photographic Society of America.
